Abductions

All over the world, there are people who have been abducted by aliens; or who think they were abducted by aliens; or who say they were abducted by aliens -- maybe you should read the material and make up your own mind. These sites contain articles, personal experiences and incident reports covering various alien abduction topics. There are also hints on how to know if you have been abducted (just in case you are not quite sure).

Alien Autopsies

An autopsy is a medical procedure -- often referred to as a postmortem examination -- in which a dead body (cadaver) is examined in order to figure out why a person died. One of the basic facts about this procedure is that you cannot have an autopsy unless you have a body. So when you hear about an autopsy being conducted on an alien, the significance is not that we might find out how an alien died, but that there actually was an alien in the first place.

Alien Lexicons

You can't talk about the players without a program, so here are some reference sites that define extraterrestrial and UFO terminology. If you are interested in aliens, it behooves you to spend some time learning the vocabulary. After all, think how embarrassed you would be if some aliens were visiting you, and you introduced them to your mother as Greys when they were really Lyrans.

Alien Pyramids

It's easy to say that aliens built the pyramids. What's not so easy is to convince people that what you say is true. Well, don't get left behind the next time your social circle is debating the origin of the pyramids. Visit these Web sites and get the real story.

Ancient Astronauts

The theory is that thousands of years ago, alien astronauts visited the Earth. Moreover, our present technological society is not the first one to exist on our planet. But if that were the case, shouldn't there be some evidence? There is, according to the true believers, and the purpose of these Web sites is to find, analyze and disseminate facts that support these theories.

These resources are devoted to Area 51, the super-secret government base near Las Vegas. Read current speculations on alien aircraft, discuss the government's security measures at the base and ponder new ideas on how to spy on the base to see the aliens.

Crop Circles

Crop circles are large, sometimes intricate designs created on farmland when parts of a field of growing plants are flattened to form a large pattern. Many people believe that crop circles are of extraterrestrial origin. If you would like to find out more about crop circles and what people have said about them, here are some Web sites where you can find information about the phenomenon. You can do all the research you need, or, if you are artistically inclined, you can make your own crop circles.

Life on Mars

Is there life on Mars? Well, if not, how do you explain the Martian "pyramids" and the "lost civilizations"? They may have been built by aliens. Of course, if there isn't alien life, there may be native life. For a while it looked as if there had been bacteria on Mars at one time (although that hypothesis has since been discredited). Still, as unlikely as it seems, something may be living on Mars. If so, you and I certainly don't want to be the last to know.

Raelian Movement

In retrospect, December 13, 1973, was an important day in the UFO community. On that day (so we are told), a Frenchman named Claud Vorilhon talked to an alien. This little fellow (only 4 feet tall) was not only cute -- he had long dark hair, olive-colored skin, and almond shaped eyes -- but affected a pleasant and comforting personality. Over the course of several days, the alien revealed that it was his cohorts who were responsible for creating all the life on Earth. Human beings, he explained, mistakenly assumed that the cute little aliens were gods. However, now that we are "mature" enough, it is time for us to know the truth. During the initial meeting, the alien changed Vorilhon's name to Rael, hence the name Raelian Movement.

Roswell Incident

Anyone who is interested in UFOs and aliens has heard of Roswell, New Mexico. Read the facts and folklore about Roswell, the town where it is said that, in 1947, an alien vessel crashed and the government hushed it up. See pictures of the crash and an FBI memo. By the way, here is the real explanation: the debris that crashed was from secret experiments the Pentagon was running called Project Mogul. The purpose of these experiments was to develop technology capable of detecting Russian atomic tests (which, it was thought, were about to begin soon). When the apparatus crashed, the military covered it up by saying the debris was from weather balloons. This, of course, was a lie, which in later years served to stimulate the American UFO-cover-up-conspiracy buffs.

UFO Chatting

When it's late at night and you are afraid of the dark, you can find some companionship on IRC. The X-Files channel is populated by people who are fans of the X-Files television show, but they also chat about aliens and UFOs. The #ufo channel is exclusively for talking about extraterrestrials and UFO-related subjects.

UFO Origins

In 1947, a pilot named Kenneth Arnold claimed that, while flying in the northwest area of the United States, he saw nine boomerang-shaped flying objects. Arnold was flying during the day and was able to describe the objects' movement as being similar to saucers skipping across the surface of a lake. A newspaper reporter covered the story, and referred to the objects as "flying saucers". Although Arnold never claimed to see anything saucer-like, the name caught the public fancy, and soon became part of the vernacular. Since then, there have been numerous reports of flying saucers, UFOs and aliens, and a great body of mythos has grown up around them. Here are some alternate explanations of the origin of UFOs.
