THE ISLAND SYNDROME

The Lady and the Psychiatrist

A woman walks into a psychiatrist's office.

"Doc," she says, "you've got to help me. "

"What's the problem?" says the psychiatrist.

"It's my husband. He won't take a bath unless he has a toy Donald Duck with him. "

The psychiatrist thinks for a moment. "Well, that seems like a harmless pastime. Why don't you just let him take his bath with a toy Donald Duck?"

"But Doc," says the woman, "it's my Donald."

"It is not easy to deal scientifically with feelings."
