"When all else fails, play with a cat."
 -- Harley Hahn

=============================
A Note From The Little Nipper
=============================

Hi, I am The Little Nipper, Harley's cat. You can
see a picture of me on the home page of Harley's
Web site.

I have asked Harley to let me be the guest editor
of this edition of the newsletter for a very
special reason: today is my 12th birthday!

Yes, I was born exactly 12 years ago in Harley's
closet and, ever since then, Harley and I have
been living together and working together. Most
of the time, all I have to do is supervise,
because Harley is pretty good at working on his
own. Once in a while, however, when he is
involved with a difficult project, he asks me to
solve a problem for him or figure out something he
doesn't understand. Still, it's a pretty easy job
and a lot of fun.

There are two reasons why I wanted to write to
you. First, I would like to invite you to visit
my Web page at:

http://www.harley.com/nipper/

It's a simple page -- I designed it myself -- and
I think you will enjoy it. While you are there,
you can send me email (such as a birthday
greeting :-).

The second reason is that I want to give you a
preview of an important project that Harley and I
have been working on. It is called "The Little
Nipper's Internet Clubhouse".

For some time, Harley has been working on a brand
new Web site that contains a lot of interesting
and original material, including online versions
of three of his books. He calls this new Web site
"The Harley Hahn Experience" (Harley likes to name
stuff after himself).

The Harley Hahn Experience consists of a number of
different features, but my favorite is the area
called "The Little Nipper's Internet Clubhouse".
This is a special section just for kids and
parents, and I know you will love it. (In fact,
just between you and me, The Little Nipper's
Internet Clubhouse is the best part of the entire
Web site.)

The Little Nipper's Internet Clubhouse has
Internet resources for children, stories for
parents to read out loud, Web sites to teach you
cool stuff, and -- my favorite part -- a funny
story written by me.

This morning, Harley told me that the new Web site
will be ready soon, so it won't be long before you
can see it for yourself. For now, here is more
information,

As I mentioned, you can send me email from my Web
page, but if you are looking for a pleasant way to
pass the rest of the day, why not think about
sending me a birthday gift?

So, thanks for reading this special edition of the
newsletter, and I wish you as happy a time on your
birthday as I am having on mine.

By the way, here is one of my favorite jokes:

What is the difference between a piano and a fish?
You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.

Bye for now,

-- The Little Nipper
